What should I expect during the Initial Intake Session?
The Initial Intake session will look different than your following sessions. The session will be 70-90 minutes long and will have an additional fee for those who are self-pay. Before this first session, you will log into a secure client portal where you will enter your information and complete the online forms. We will go over the paperwork you filled out online during the session and discuss policies. The online forms you complete will allow us to learn about you and why you are seeking therapy. Your first session will be an opportunity for you to get to know your therapist, ask any additional questions, and share any further information. In addition, we will discuss your therapy goals and upcoming sessions. We now that starting something new can be uncomfortable. Our goal during the initial session will be to help you feel more at ease by creating an atmosphere in the office where you will feel welcomed and encouraged.
